I have always been skeptical about products that claim to solve the world's problems in just 30 seconds...that is until I used Plaqclnz! Ok, seriously though, I recently picked up my 8 year old cocker spaniel from a day at the vet's office having his teeth cleaned and quite a few extracted due to advanced periodontal disease. As you can imagine, the entire procedure (which included 2 office visits, bloodwork, pre cancer screening since we were taking blood anyway, a follow up visit etc etc etc) was not kind to my checkbook. So I decided to start looking into some alternative methods to save myself some money seeing as how I have 4 dogs 3 of which are above the age of 6. This is when I came across Plaqclnz. I figured it couldn't hurt to try this product since it claimed to, when used properly, eliminate the need for sedation dentistry for pets.
I purchased the product and sprayed it into my standard poodle, ZZ's mouth. He accepted it with no objection. 30 minutes later, I used the Oral Irrigator to begin to dislodge the tartar and plaque buildup on his teeth. Of course you can't tell the difference after just one use, but I could not believe that his breath was fresh after just one application. Teeth brushing has never done that for any of the dogs I've used it on. In the same way if you did not brush your teeth for 4 weeks and then brushed one time you're breath would not be miraculously better. However, after following the first 2 steps of the Plaqclnz routine, his breath was noticeably pleasant! In that moment, my conversion began. Since then I have been applying the drops at home as often as I can remember. I am not upset that I have not done it everyday like you are supposed to because I feel like I will be a very realistic case study. Few people in their busy lives are going to remember everyday to place the drops in their mouth so I am excited to see the results I would expect of my clients if they use this product.
So far, I'm loving it. I use it on all of my pets and have done so for a little over a month now. I took pictures of ZZ's teeth before and will post the afters next month and try to do so regularly so we can all see the progress in real time. Be sure to visit the PlaqClnz website, it has a plethora of good information, facts, and testimonials.
Another reason I am really focusing on my pets' dental health now is due to the dramatic change I saw in Rip, my cocker spaniel's personality and overall health after his teeth were cleaned. His skin issues cleared up within a matter of days, no more runny eyes, he didn't have anymore accidents in the house, he's put on weight...in fact too much, now he's on a diet! I am in shock as to how much his health improved simply due to the teeth cleaning. I have always known it to be important, but never knew the extent to which poor dental health can lead to a myriad of other problems. It's worth it for their immediate comfort to put forth the effort in keeping their mouths healthy, but ultimately it will extend their lives and quality of life as well.
